Turn It Up to Eleven: SPEED's 'Only One Mode' Set to Blast Through

Strap in, misfits and moshers! SPEED, the hardcore heroes hailing from the land down under, are about to tear through your speakers with their debut beast of an album, "Only One Mode." Dropping on July 12 via Flatspot Records in the US and Last Ride Records in Australia, this album is primed to set fire to the norms of hardcore punk.

Kickstarting the havoc is their lead single, "Real Life Love," complete with a video that’s as unapologetically raw as their sound. Filmed in the concrete jungle of Sydney, this track is a full-on battle cry, a thrash-infused rally to the hardcore faithful. Jem Siow, SPEED's frontman, is fully preaching a gospel of hardcore, steeped in loyalty and the kind of deep-rooted connections that only music this honest can forge.

Jem puts it bluntly, “My time in hardcore has informed the relationships I have with everyone I hold close. It's about love and loyalty. A bond that knows no words. Stick around, and you get it; bail out, and you’re missing the point.” And that’s SPEED in a nutshell—no holds barred, straight to the heart.

If "Real Life Love," prior EPs, and earlier singles are any evidence, "Only One Mode" is going to be a manifesto for the true believers, the stage-divers, the ones who wear their bruises like badges of honor. With SPEED set to tour North America alongside Knocked Loose, get ready to catch them live; because if you think they’re explosive on track, just wait till you see them on stage.
