Get ready to be transported into a hardcore realm unlike any other as Buffalo's own Spaced announces their upcoming studio LP, "This Is All We Ever Get," set to hit the airwaves on March 22 via Revelation Records. This album promises to be a heady mix of traditional hardcore influences and otherworldly sounds, making it a must-listen for hardcore enthusiasts.
Spaced's journey began with a sprint in 2021, and since then, they've been churning out charismatic tracks that are as fun live as they are fierce. Following a compilation LP, "Spaced Jams," and two killer singles, "Boomerang" and "Cycle Killer," the band is now gearing up for their first full-on studio adventure.
Recorded with the expertise of Jay Zubricky, a collaborator with Mindforce, "This Is All We Ever Get" is primed to showcase Spaced's evolution, drawing inspiration from hardcore legends like The Rival Mob and Suicidal Tendencies, while weaving in the sonic textures of Sonic Youth and My Bloody Valentine. The first single, "Landslide," is a fast, bouncy power-jam with a chorus tailor-made for mass shout-alongs, proving that Spaced is pushing boundaries while staying true to their roots.
The accompanying music video for "Landslide," directed by Adam Kellerman, features bandleader Lexi Reyngoudt leading a Moshercise class, capturing the band's playful yet impactful spirit.
But the excitement doesn't stop there. Spaced is set to embark on a North American tour with Militarie Gun next month, followed by a UK tour with Shooting Daggers in the spring. The live experience is where Spaced truly shines, bringing their unique blend of hardcore magic to stages around the world.
