My Best Unbeaten Brother Shares a Slice of Indie-Rock Joy

Who wants a fun one?! I know I do and this one hits the spot...

My Best Unbeaten Brother is dropping their latest single, "Time on Our Hands, Spider-Man," a precursor to their highly anticipated debut album Pessimistic Pizza. If this track is to be any clue, the album promises to be a melodious blend of post-punk and folk punk with a sprinkle of grunge, echoing the eclectic sounds of Billy Bragg, Built to Spill, and Sebadoh.

Hailing from Croydon, UK, this trio brings together the seasoned talents of the Parker brothers and Ben Fry. Their chemistry is undeniable, creating music that's not just heard, but deeply felt—a mix of nostalgia, camaraderie, and a touch of rebellion. The single, infused with jangly guitars, compact yet profound drumming, and a hungry, growling bass, captures the essence of indie music wrapped in the genuine experiences of life, love, and the pursuit of musical expression.

"Time on Our Hands, Spider-Man" is a wonderful statement about capturing those moments that might seem fleeting but are profoundly impactful. With lyrics that are as introspective as they are whimsical, the track explores themes of life's simplicity and complexity, making it a perfect anthem for those introspective nights or spirited gatherings.

As we gear up for the full album release on June 28, 2024, this single sets a promising tone for what's to come—a full spectrum of emotions, from angst to affection, all packaged neatly in what promises to be a compelling narrative. Check it out for yourself:
