Hot Water Music Dives into Midlife Crisis, Invites a Bunch of Friends for the Ride

In a move that's almost as surprising as waking up without a hangover after a show, Hot Water Music is here to grace us with a new album, "Vows," celebrating their three-decade milestone. Because who says punks can't have moments of introspection?

Hot Water Music's 'Vows': Punk Wisdom from the Veterans

"Vows" is Hot Water Music's way of saying, "We're aging, but don't count us out just yet." The album, dropping on May 10, is a being set up as a reflection on the journey so far, featuring friends that may or may not have accidentally wandered into the studio.

Tracklist for the Ages

The tracklist reads like rollercoaster of emotions, from the rebellious "Menace" to the contemplative "Searching for Light." And because every punk band worth their salt needs a song with a badass title, there's "Chewing on Broken Glass." Special appearances include Dallas Green, the Thrice gang, The Interrupters, and a cameo by Turnstile's Daniel Fang and Brendan Yates. It's basically a family reunion.

Midlife Crisis Tour: Proving Punk Has No Expiration Date

Hot Water Music is taking their existential crisis on the road because nothing says "I'm still relevant" like playing in venues that smell like nostalgia. And leather. And sweat. And beer. Mmmm....nostalgia.

Check the extensive list of tour dates below because punk rock, like fine wine, apparently gets better with age, which is only slightly ironic. But real talk, I'm looking forward to this one. And why shouldn't I? Check out the tracks they've dropped ahead of the release:
