False Tracks to Unleash 'Hymn for Terror'

Hey rockers, gear up! Supergroup/collective False Tracks is about to drop their debut album, 'Hymn for Terror' on January 26 via Strange Mono Records!

The Supergroup Saga: Jayme Guokas, Mike Hammel, Greg Pavlovcak, and Jamie Wilson, known collectively as False Tracks, are seasoned veterans hailing from The Ropers, Lilys, The Snow Fairies, Pink Skull, Royal Shoals, Last Wave, and The Vexers. Their collective experience is the driving force behind the creation of addictive, perfectly executed post-punk earworms.

First Rule of False Tracks: These musical mavericks believe that the first thought is the best thought, and they've applied this rule to their songwriting. The result? 'Hymn for Terror,' a slightly darker journey into post-punk territories, showcasing tight, punchy burners that defy the traditional rules of the genre.

Musical Landscape: 'Hymn for Terror' sounds like it will explore a soundscape reminiscent of Wire, The Feelies, Wipers, and more. With the moody first single "Suspended Animation" showcasing what should be psyche-tinged, jangly, new wave-y post-punk. The impression is that False Tracks offers a musical palette that transcends their influences.

Recording Adventure: Recorded in Philadelphia with the legendary Jeff Zeigler at Uniform Recording, the experience is described as hanging out with an old friend. The album's production reflects a comfortable and instinctive collaboration, highlighting the band's evolution in parallel with Zeigler's tastes.

Pre-Order Delight: Embrace the laughter and darkness of 'Hymn for Terror' by pre-ordering the LP now.
