Cloud Nothings' Revelation: "Final Summer" Album Unveiled

In the ever-evolving landscape of indie rock, Cloud Nothings stand as stalwarts, consistently delivering sonic gems that resonate with the essence of the genre. The excitement peaks as the Ohio-based trio announces their forthcoming album, "Final Summer," slated for release on April 19 via Pure Noise Records. A musical escapade awaits, guided by the seasoned hands of Cloud Nothings.

A Sonic Prelude

Last year marked a significant chapter in Cloud Nothings' journey as they inked a deal with Pure Noise and dropped the tantalizing single "Final Summer." Now, the curtains unveil the larger masterpiece, a full-length album bearing the same name. Recorded with the expertise of Jeff Zeigler, the man behind Kurt Vile and Nothing, and mixed by Sarah Tudzin of illuminati hotties, "Final Summer" promises to be a chapter etched in indie rock history.

"Running Through The Campus": A Sonic Reverie

Accompanying the album announcement is the release of the second single, "Running Through The Campus." A melodic exploration with breezy, jangly, yet distorted indie rock vibes—a Cloud Nothings signature. Frontman Dylan Baldi shares the inspiration behind the track, a glimpse into the late-night musings of a solitary runner navigating the quiet spaces of a college campus. A reflection on late-night loneliness turns into a celebration of doing what makes you feel good, free from comparisons.

Visual Symphony: "Running Through The Campus" Video

Directed by Errick Easterday, the music video adds a visual layer to the sonic revelations. Shot in everyday locations like vans and living rooms, the video captures the raw essence of Cloud Nothings' performance, providing an intimate backdrop to the lyrical introspection. As the band explores new territories, the video complements the auditory journey, offering fans a holistic experience.

A Departure and Arrival

"Final Summer" marks Cloud Nothings' departure from Carpark, their longtime label home, signaling a new chapter in their musical evolution. This album, the eighth in their discography, arrives as a testament to their resilience and unwavering commitment to sonic excellence.

Save the Date: April 19

As the finality of summer unfolds through Cloud Nothings' lens, mark your calendars for April 19. "Final Summer" invites you to embark on an odyssey with aspirations to transcend the boundaries of indie rock and leave an indelible mark on your own musical journey.
