Belmont Drops Sonic Ambrosia with 'Liminal'

Chicago's punk provocateurs, Belmont, are set to unleash their sonic prowess with the upcoming release of their third studio album, "Liminal." Following the success of 2021's 'Aftermath' and their self-titled debut in 2018, Belmont's evolution as musicians is evident in this highly anticipated project.

Scheduled to hit the airwaves on April 12th via Pure Noise Records, "Liminal" promises a musical journey that transcends the boundaries of Belmont's early pop-punk roots. The title track, accompanied by a visually captivating music video directed by Michael Herrick, offers a taste of what awaits eager fans.

Vocalist Taz Johnson delves into the thematic core of "Liminal," describing it as a reflection on life's perpetual transitions – a cycle with no discernible start or finish. He invites listeners to "learn to find comfort in what never was, 'cause it will always be."

While previews of the album's sound are undeniably upbeat, the lyrics venture into more poignant territory, exploring stories of inner turmoil, rumination, and emotional distress. However, woven within are hopeful narratives of acceptance, perseverance, and mindfulness, creating a harmonious balance.

As Johnson puts it, "'Liminal' as the title for our third record is meant to be an escape to a different world – a nostalgic longing for a place that doesn't really exist, but you wish you were there."

Belmont's sonic ambrosia is set to captivate listeners and redefine their musical journey. Stay tuned for "Liminal," an album that not only marks a pivotal moment in Belmont's career but beckons you to join an odyssey into the nonexistent punk rock wonderland of their making.
