Bayside's Existential Anthems: 'There Are Worse Things Than Being Alive' Unveiled

Queens-based punk maestros Bayside are back with their latest offering, "There Are Worse Things Than Being Alive," an album poised to shake the very foundations of our sonic existence. Expected on April 5 via Hopeless Records, this auditory revelation is set to solidify Bayside's reign as punk royalty.

Vocalist Anthony Raneri, the wizard behind the lyrical curtain, shares that their new single, "The Devils," is a ripper designed to keep you on your toes. A melodic chant, initially destined for the bridge, became the song's heartbeat. Bayside thought it was too good to be tucked away and decided to let it kick off the track. Because, why not?

This new record, a concoction of fresh tracks and a sprinkle of the recent Red and Blue EPs, is a journey into the profound and the punk. Raneri insists this album is about life's complexities, and well, there are indeed worse things than being alive.

To mark this momentous occasion, Bayside is hitting the road for "The Worse Things Than Being Alive Tour," a nostalgic trip with fellow emo-pop veterans Finch and Armor For Sleep, alongside newcomers Winona Fighter. Raneri, dripping with sardonic charm, says, "It's been close to 20 years since we played a show with either band. So excited to finally run it back."

Get ready for a whirlwind of punk anthems as Bayside, the embodiment of timeless rebellion, takes center stage once more. This isn't just an album drop; it's a sonic manifesto for those who crave substance over gimmicks.
