Bacchae Returns with Fiery Anthem "Cooler Talk"

Hooray! DC post-punk rebels Bacchae are back once again with "Cooler Talk," a blistering anthem that cuts through the corporate facade with unapologetic rage. The track, their first release since the acclaimed Pleasure Vision album, doesn't hold back in its critique of capitalism and the dehumanizing nature of the corporate world.

The lyrics resonate with a raw honesty, tackling themes of exploitation and resistance in a world where profit often comes at the expense of human dignity. Bacchae's frontwoman Katie McD delivers powerful vocals layered over a dynamic instrumental arrangement, crafting a rebellion that demands attention.

"'Cooler Talk' is a reminder of how someone at the top is always breathing down your neck and quantifying your 'value' in the name of capitalism," the band shared. "It's the soundtrack to your supervisor trying to ding you at every step of your evaluation while you quote the union contract from memory and tell them to f*** off!"

Recorded and mixed by the legendary J. Robbins at The Magpie Cage Recording Studio, "Cooler Talk" is a sonic punch to the status quo. It's a rallying cry for those tired of being treated like expendable cogs in the corporate machine, amplifying the voices of those pushing back against injustice.

Bacchae's lineup of Katie McD on vocals/keys, Rena Hagins on bass/vocals, Eileen O’Grady on drums, and Andrew Breiner on guitar delivers a performance that captures the essence of punk rock defiance. With "Cooler Talk," they return to cement their place as a band unafraid to challenge the norms and speak truth to power.
